Today was Johnny's 4th birthday party at Central Park. There was a bounce house for the kids right next to the playground. They had sandwiches and chicken wings for lunch along with appetizers for munchies. Johnny had his own birthday cake along with a huge cupcake cake. We had a great time and so did the kids.

Happy Birthday J4!

Today was Steve’s birthday so we all went to dinner at Texas de Brazil to celebrate. My aunt and uncle from Connecticut were also there to celebrate. We had a great time and Karen’s parents even stopped in to say Happy Birthday (and to drop off a sweater to Karen who was cold). It was a fun night with lots and lots of yummy red meat, salad bar, and dessert.

Hope you had a great birthday dinner Steve!

Mellow Mushroom Pizza with @KarenRotlewicz and @MimiRotlewicz

Tonight Karen and I took her mom to Mellow Mushroom Pizza. We started out with the honey and cinnamon pretzels dipped in a garlic butter sauce. For dinner I ordered a pepperoni pizza, while Karen and her mom shared a bar-b-que pizza and a Caesar salad pizza. After dinner we walked around Delray Beach for a little and then it was time for me to go home and get ready for work.

Today was Sarita's Birthday. We all met at Shely and Mark's house to celebrate. Mark cooked homemade pizza pies for everyone. They were so good. We had cheese, pepperoni, and several veggie pizzas. All were great and now I want to try homemade pizzas for myself. After lunch we had cake that Sofia decorated all by herself. We had a great time celebrating with everyone this afternoon.

Texas de Brazil

Tonight we went to Texas de Brazil with Karen's parents and grandparents. If you have never been you have to check it out. First you start at the huge salad bar. It has over 50 items including soup, rice, potatoes, and sushi. Then when you are ready the waiters come around with an endless amount of steak. It is so good and so much so bring a huge appetite. Leave some room though for their good desserts. After dinner we walked around Gulstream Park Casino & Shops. Most of the shops are not open yet, but are due to open by the end of the month. The shops will have restaurants, nightclubs, and designer brands. The grounds near the casino are really nice and they have a huge water fountain that changes color and puts on a water show.

The wedding was beautiful and the food was delicious. There was a huge band playing all different kinds of music and we danced a lot. It was a great time and we wish Adrian and Claudia lots of luck on their marriage.

6 Kids + Melting Pot = Interesting Dinner

Karen's cousins from Colombia were in town and Karen and I watched 2 of them while their mom and dad went shopping. We took them to Chuck-E-Cheese to play some video games and hang out. Later we met up with their grandmother and other cousins at the Melting Pot. There were 6 kids in total and I was wondering how it was going to work out doing a fondue dinner with so many kids.

Well everything went OK, although I was a little nervous when they were all fighting over the boiling fondue pot. Dinner went fine and was so yummy. Then dessert came. Imagine 6 kids and 2 fondue pots filled with chocolate. Well, I think more chocolate got on the kids then in their mouths, as you can see by the pictures. It was a great time though and we were glad we got to see them while they were in the USA.

Tonight Karen, Rami, and I went to Santa's Enchanted Forest, which is located inside Tropical Park in Miami. When you first walk in there are tons of decorations with thousands, maybe millions of lights. There is also food, carnival games, and rides towards the back. We had a great time going thru the fun houses, eating, and going on rides. Well Rami and Karen went on the rides. I don't do rides. We also went into the petting zoo area and fed goats, sheep, and llamas. This was our favorite part. This was our second year coming here together and we hope to do it again next year!

Today when we woke up we were docked just off the Great Stirrup Cay Island. This is a private island owned by Norwegian Cruise Lines. After breakfast we all tendered over to the island and grabbed a spot on the beach.

Karen and I already had our eye on something we wanted to do while there. Geocache! We had plotted out 2 geocaches that we wanted to discover so we decided to head out for an early hike before it got too late. We took Shely with us and headed out onto a dirt trail. After about a 1 mile walk we came to the opposite side of the island where we found lots of cliffs and a rocky beach area. The island had previously been a military base so there we reminiscence of old military buildings. Be hind one of them was the geocache!

We then headed out to grab the second one. Along the way we stopped and took pictures near the Great Stirrup Cay International Airport, which is just an old helipad. We continued hiking for about half a mile and found the last cache, an old abandoned lighthouse. In the area of the lighthouse was old homes and an old cemetery. After logging our find we took our 2 mile hike back. Once back at the beach we ate lunch and Karen played in a volleyball game with the guys. We then went swimming and snorkeling in the ocean and saw lots of colorful fish, along with a sting ray and shark. before we knew it, it was time to head back to the ship.

Once back at the ship we had dinner and went to play the final BINGO game. We lost. After the game the kids went to watch/play The Quest. Basically they break the room into teams. The cruise director then asks each team all at once to bring up to him or do different activities and each team that does gets points. They asked for a guys shoe laces, out of the shoes. They also asked for to guys dancing, that would be Rami and Josi. the final "quest" was for one guy from each team to go on stage wearing boxers, a bra, high heels, and carrying a handbag. Josi ran up dressed like that and our team won the game! For winning we each got a Norwegian Cruise Line shirt. The Quest was hilarious and we laughed the entire time. After the game we went upstairs to grab a quick midnight snack and then head off to bed.
