Airboat Ride at Everglades Holiday Park

Today Karen and I went with Rami and Emilia to Everglades Holiday park so we can go on an airboat ride. We took a private tour which went out for about 1.5 hours. We saw a few alligators, snakes, birds, and even baby alligators. After we saw an alligator wrestler and walked around the park for a bit. Then we went to Pizza Fusion in Weston for lunch.

Disney Vacation Day 2 - Ice Bar (A must do)

After Medieval Times Karen and I went to Ice Bar located on International Drive. Yes this bar is what it sounds like. A bar made from ice. It is basically a huge cooler where the walls, bar tables, and even chairs are all made out of ice! It is 27 degrees inside and they give you gloves and a heavy jacket before you go in. They also don’t let you in for longer than 45 minutes. And yes, we did last that long. O even the glasses and mugs are made out of ice. When you come out of the “ice bar” you enter the “fire lounge” which feels so good after being in 27 degrees for 45 minutes. It wasn’t too crowded, which was nice, so we hung out for a bit and then went back to the hotel to go to sleep…….and keep warm!

Disney Vacation Day 2 - Medieval Times

Tonight we went to Medieval Times Dinner show where we got to do Karen’s favorite thing. EAT WITH YOUR HANDS! The dinner included soup, garlic toast, chicken on a bone, and spare ribs; all eaten with your hands! What a fun mess. We sat in the yellow team area and got to cheer on our team. We didn’t win but it was fun anyways. The yellow night even gave Karen a flower!

Tonight Karen and I, along with her parents Mark and Mimi, went to a wedding at the Diplomat Golf Resort. Mark's cousin Claudia was getting married. The wedding was beautiful and the food was delicious. There was a huge band playing all different kinds of music and we danced a lot. It was a great time and we wish Adrian and Claudia lots of luck on their marriage.

Wii Bowling - @KarenRotlewicz vs @AriDorfman - Guess who wins?

Tonight after dinner we decided to have a Wii bowling competition. We played about 4 games and I think Karen beat me on everyone, (don't tell her I let her win).

101 Ocean & Hard Rock

Tonight Karen and I decided to try a new place in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea called 101 Ocean. The restaurant is open till 2am and serves pizza, flatbreads, and salads all night long (the regular menu is available till 11pm). They have a DJ on Saturday nights and the place was pretty busy, especially at the bar. You can sit inside or out, but chose inside.

We started with a parmesean & basil flat bread which was really good. For dinner I ordered a Pepperoni Pizza and Karen got the Lobster Ravioli. My pizza was excellent but Karen did not like her ravioli. She said it was to lemony so we told the waiter and he took it off the check. The waiter David (who was very nice) came back later and told us that although the Lobster Ravioli is one of their most popular dishes, he tried it and agreed it was to lemony that night. Karen wasn't the biggest fan of my pizza, but I thought it was really good. We decided we would go back another time just to hang out, have a drink, order flat bread, ad enjoy the music. The place had a nice atmosphere and the people who were there seemed nice. It wasn't cluby or too crowded and the crowd was a little bit older. So no punky kids or stupid drunk people. After dinner we went to Hard Rock and stopped in for a bit at Pangaea/Gryphon and then went to Wet Willies before going home.

Tonight Karen, Rami, and I went to Santa's Enchanted Forest, which is located inside Tropical Park in Miami. When you first walk in there are tons of decorations with thousands, maybe millions of lights. There is also food, carnival games, and rides towards the back. We had a great time going thru the fun houses, eating, and going on rides. Well Rami and Karen went on the rides. I don't do rides. We also went into the petting zoo area and fed goats, sheep, and llamas. This was our favorite part. This was our second year coming here together and we hope to do it again next year!

Legally Blonde The Musical

On Saturday night we went to see Legally Blonde The Musical at the Broward Center for Performing Arts. before the show we went to Smith and Jone's on Las Olas and had a very nice dinner. The food was really really good and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for good American food, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. Thanks Mimi for telling us about it. After dinner we went to the show, which was very funny. Karen had seen the show before when she was in New York City and we both had watched Legally Blonde The Search for Elle Woods on MTV. Thank you Gagi and Gema for giving us the tickets!

After the show we went to Hard Rock and had our favorite Wet Willie's. Hard Rock was packed. I have never seen it this busy. We walked around for a bit, got a bite to eat at the food court, and then headed home.
